We have a diverse group of youth with varied backgrounds in our Youth Transition Program. Andreea joined our YTP in Bucharest last year, but her family connection with the ministry of Bread of Life has been a long one. Her mother and father are employees at the Bread of Life Children’s Home. We wanted to help her have a better educational opportunity and extended an invitation for Andreea to join the Bucharest YTP. In Bucharest, Andreea quickly became involved in the local church choir and promptly proved herself a leader among the girls. She enjoys playing the guitar, learning new songs, and learning a foreign language is also one of Andreea’s gifts. To help her practice, I allowed her to introduce herself to you through her own words.
“My name is Andreea-Elisabeta Agapie. I’m 18 years old, and I am a freshman in college. I was born on December 12, 2001, in my town, Broșteni, Suceava, România. Growing up, I lived with my parents, two sisters, and two brothers. We have two pets: one cat and one dog. I am proud of myself because I believe with God’s help, I have been a good daughter, a good sister, and a good friend. God gives me hope, faith, and love. He helps me to be the best version of myself, and I know He helps me be better than I can be by myself. I am a warm person, especially in difficult times. I am trying to discover the best parts of myself, and I am learning to be proud of myself. I try to change when my behavior is wrong, and I am always working to be a better person. I will go to the College of Geography, and I will study the geography of tourism. My dream is to be a flight attendant and travel all over the world. I also want to improve my English. I know that God will help me accomplish this with hard work. Most important is that I came to Bucharest through the Bread of Life Ministries. They are good people and are helping me build my future. I first heard of Bread of Life when I started helping them with their children’s programs at the BOL Home. I was singing and playing guitar for the kids during worship. When I hear all the kids’ stories, I think, “I have parents who love me so much, and give me a home.” Remembering this helps me realize how blessed I truly am. I like being part of the Bread of Life family, and I am grateful for this opportunity.”
