Feeding Centers
The articles below highlight our work at feeding centers throughout Romania.

God’s Word instructs us to care for the vulnerable, especially the widows and elderly. Psalm 56:8 states, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle.” Inspired by this, the Bread of Life ministry extends compassion to the elderly, who often go unnoticed despite their sacrifices and hard work in earlier years.

Over the past three years, God has abundantly blessed BOL with increased food donations. We have grown from receiving only a few aid containers yearly to averaging over 35 containers annually. This incredible blessing allows us to help thousands of people through our Bread of Life Crisis Relief program.

On a recent visit to a poor community, our team asked the children how they were doing in school. One little girl sadly looked down and said, “I failed this year.” She was in the second grade. After pondering a few moments, I found myself replying: We are living the dream!

The most vulnerable groups in Romania are the children and elderly. While the children have a better appeal and many organizations are working to help them, the elderly seem to be quietly forgotten and left out of the picture. I find the parallel between children abandoned by their parents and grandparents abandoned by their children […]

For many years Bread of Life operated a Feeding Center ministry, feeding many hungry children and helping families remain together. As we all know, COVID has changed life for everyone, and BOL’s ministry projects are no exception. Large feeding centers with lots of children enjoying a meal and having a Bible story are no […]

The normal human reaction in times of hardship is to hang on to what we have in preparation for difficult days ahead. With the multiple crises going on in the world right now, one would expect and understand such a reaction from everyone, both active and nominal Christians. It is rare and encouraging when […]
