We are deeply grateful to our Bread of Life donors for their incredible support in helping break the cycle of poverty in our community. Your generous donations have provided 500 essential school supplies to children who otherwise may not have had the resources to succeed.

After months of intense lessons at our feeding centers, we planned some different activities for the children in the poverty-stricken communities.

On a recent visit to a poor community, our team asked the children how they were doing in school. One little girl sadly looked down and said, “I failed this year.” She was in the second grade. We pondered, how can one fail the second grade? The reality is that growing up in an illiterate family leads to this—a never-ending cycle of poverty trapping children. This is why we advocate for education as part of the cure for poverty.

A few days ago, I was visiting the children at the Balaceanca Feeding Center with a friend. After spending time with the children, we delivered food parcels to local families. This experience deeply shocked my friend. After two sleepless nights, he returned to me and asked: what is your dream for Balaceanca? After pondering a few moments, I found myself replying: We are living the dream!

We do not need to look far to find reasons to be thankful. No matter how wealthy or poor we feel, like the apostle Paul, we acknowledge God above all our circumstances and praise Him.  I am profoundly touched by the gratitude children in our Feeding Centers show every time we visit them. Sitting in […]

The last two years under the COVID pandemic have been challenging for the poor of Romania. All feeding centers were closed under government order, and our program became one of delivering food parcels to families.

The most vulnerable groups in Romania are the children and elderly. While the children have a better appeal and many organizations are working to help them, the elderly seem to be quietly forgotten and left out of the picture. I find the parallel between children abandoned by their parents and grandparents abandoned by their children […]

For many years Bread of Life operated a Feeding Center ministry, feeding many hungry children and helping families remain together. As we all know, COVID has changed life for everyone, and BOL’s ministry projects are no exception. Large feeding centers with lots of children enjoying a meal and having a Bible story are no […]

The normal human reaction in times of hardship is to hang on to what we have in preparation for difficult days ahead. With the multiple crises going on in the world right now, one would expect and understand such a reaction from everyone, both active and nominal Christians. It is rare and encouraging when […]

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Mathew 6:26   It is interesting to see the contrasts of our modern days. We have the pick of the technology era, where the […]

Recently, I heard the lyrics of a gospel song titled, “Love, Love, Love”. In the chorus, there was a line that referred to love being “the one thing we all could use more of.” What a sobering thought, could it be possible that “LOVE” alone could be what our world really needs the most?  It […]

Every direction we turn we see more needs and more needy people as we walk daily through the mission field. Sometimes we feel our stories are similar with the one in Luke 10 where the man fell among thieves. Satan, the thief who only seeks to harm God’s creation, may use different means in different […]

With God’s help and the love of our brothers and sisters who partner with us, we recently delivered food supplies to our remote feeding centers in the Iasi area near the border with Moldova. Here, through our friend and pastor Niki, we are feeding many children and helping many families in crisis with food, clothing and other […]
