Bread of Life Home
The articles below highlight our work at the Bread of Life Home in Brosteni, Romania.

“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” – Psalm 139:16 None of us chose to enter this world, nor did we select the families or circumstances into which we were born. These aspects of life are beyond our control, yet they shape us deeply.

As Christmas approaches, let's share the joy of Christ's birth this Christmas, we invite you to help create joy and hope for children in Romania, Ukraine & Bulgarya letting them know that someone cares deeply for them. In today's world, challenges like war, rising shipping costs, natural disasters, and an unstable economy make delivering physical shoeboxes from abroad complex and costly With a $30 donation, our local team in Romania can assemble, wrap, and deliver Christmas gifts filled with locally sourced items, and Christian Literature —where they're most needed.

Standing in line at the BOL home, waiting to pick up my food tray, I hear a “ Hey, come sit here! ” I looked around and spotted a new face broadly smiling at me. “He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” Matthew 18:2-5 (NIV)

Just as the warmth of God’s love surrounds us like a comforting embrace, the children can feel that embrace warmed by the firewood our faithful supporters provide each year. It is a tangible reminder of God’s care and provision. Last winter, you helped us keep the Bread of Life Home, a sanctuary of warmth and comfort for the children in our care. As always, your support was a beacon of hope, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness. As we prepare for this coming winter, we again need your help. Although Romania had a mild winter last year, allowing us to reserve some wood, we still need to replenish our supply to ensure no child is cold this year. We need to purchase ten truckloads of firewood to prepare for winter 2024. The price of firewood rose this year to $1110 per truckload.

Firewood is one of the greatest needs our BOLCH in Brosteni has. We thank our ministry friends who have already helped us as we work to obtain the significant amount of firewood needed for the winter. Due to the energy crisis, wood has increased significantly in price and has become scarce, but by God’s grace, […]
