Ukraine Field Report

A few months ago, I had the privilege of accompanying our BOL team to deliver food to Ukraine. Our trip began at our warehouse in Bucharest with multiple loaded trucks and trailers headed toward our destination, Ismail, Ukraine. Ismail is in the southwest corner of Ukraine and is relatively safe.

As you know, many living in Ukraine are facing manifold hardships and suffering because of the ongoing conflict there.

Many have left everything and have fled to a safer place. And some stayed behind; either way, many are destitute and need help and encouragement. Like a Christian man, I met there whose family had come under attack twice. On one occasion, his 4-year-old daughter suffered severe burns, and the other time, his 2-year-old son was injured. His son is all right now, but after a lengthy hospital stay, his daughter still has a long way to go. They are praying for a miracle.

Please keep praying for the peace of Ukraine.

Standing in line at the BOL home, waiting to pick up my food tray, I hear a “ Hey, come sit here! ” I looked around and spotted a new face broadly smiling at me. It was Oana, a small, 8-year-old girl, one of the new children in the BOL home . This was her first time seeing me; she did not even know my name.
