A Voice For The Voiceless

Bread of Life, like many ministries working around the world, strives to be a voice for the voiceless. Our mission of caring for the poor children in our country often compels us to present special needs to our family of friends. We want to pause and make sure we give proper recognition to you, our friends who have united your hearts with ours. With great respect and  appreciation  we want to mention some of the recent special ministry needs that you help us meet. We have shared  with you about our roof crisis and God touched your heart.  The funds we needed for full roofing replacement arrived in time for the work to commence recently. We got materials and we started working on it with our local team. If God helps us by the time you read this, we would have already completed it.

We shared with you about some girls at one of our feeding centers that have no water at home and with God’s help this has been covered. It might look like a small thing to us but it is a faith building miracle for them. Earlier in the year we expressed the need to prepare for winter, and with your help we have managed to acquire the wood we need. The inside of the orphanage needed fixing up and some renovation after the rook leak. We thank you for this too. One of the biggest miracles that we can never thank you enough for is helping us making it every month. Food, heat, medicine, bills of any kind are part of our monthly yoke and you help us carry it. God bless you for this.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food... I was a stranger and you welcomed me...” — Matthew 25:35 ESV This past February marked four years since the war dramatically changed the lives of millions of people in Ukraine. The world’s response has shifted over time — some still remain deeply engaged, while others have found it difficult to stay connected as the conflict continues.

Every day, elderly men and women in the Broșteni, Romania area who have no one to care for them receive a hot meal delivered right to their door. Along with the food comes a warm greeting, a listening ear, and a helping hand from Iosif, who faithfully travels nearly 15 kilometers by bicycle each day, regardless of the weather. For the elderly he visits, the meal meets a practical need, but the visit itself often means even more. It is a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten. What makes these daily visits especially meaningful is the story of the young man making them.

If you have ever held a newborn in your arms, you know that few moments in life can match it. Yet the Bible tells us there is one moment that does — the moment a soul is born again. Heaven itself rejoices. Recently, I experienced two such moments in a single church service.
